Lesson Plan: Modeling States of Matter

Science is more engaging when you are moving around and modeling concepts!

I designed this lesson and its associated materials for inquirED, a practice-based professional development and curriculum company. At the time (in 2018), the company was piloting science curriculum in some of its early school district partners.

This lesson, called "Modeling States of Matter" was part of a 5th grade science unit driven by the question How can properties of matter help us understand the world around us?

In this lesson, students BECOME the models for the different phases of matter!
