Lesson Plan: Guess That Matter!

This lesson puts students' deductive reasoning skills to the test!

I designed this lesson and its associated materials for inquirED, a practice-based professional development and curriculum company. At the time (in 2018), the company was piloting science curriculum in some of its early school district partners.

This game, called "Guess That Matter!" was part of a 5th grade science unit driven by the question How can properties of matter help us understand the world around us?

Similar to the game "Guess Who" students use deductive reasoning skills and their knowledge of chemical and physical properties to discover the identity of the mystery matter.
